What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure for eyebrows that involves small hand tool(blade)that cuts the skin slightly to implement the pigment.

That blade creates hair strokes in the eyebrow pattern between the hairs, simulating the appearance of thicker, fuller brows. We select matching pigment to individual client eyebrows.

What are the benefits of microblading?

Microblading is for anyone that doesn’t have enough hair on their eyebrows or that doesn’t have any hair at all; Former cancer patients or suffering from alopecia or you just want fuller and thicker eyebrows.

Microblading will enhance your natural structure of your current brow shape, define them and correct unevenness between them.

If someone is looking for a clean and natural looking eyebrow enhancement then microblading is the treatment for you.

Also its important to say that its semi permeant technique are not permanent which means that if you decide to change your eyebrows for different shape or colour going forward with the trend, you can. At Avalon, we only use organic pigments, meaning that the result will last maximum of 18 moth and will eventually fade away if not topped up.

How should I prepare for microblading?

You will be asked not to drink coffee, alcohol or take aspirin or ibuprofen for 48 before treatment as these all result in the thinning of the blood.

It is advised to wash your hair on the day of treatment, no tanning, do not undertake any strenuous exercise on the day of the treatment. No cosmetic treatments, or skin peels for 4 weeks before the treatment.

How long does microblading take?

After the initial consultation, on the day of the treatment you will arrive promptly at your scheduled appointment.

The procedure will typically then take between 2 – 3 hours.

How much does microblading hurt?

We all experience different levels of pain. At Avalon we only use the most effective numbing creams available for use in the UK.

We always aim to make the microblading treatment as pain free as possible at Avalon.

What is the healing time for microblading?

Your eyebrows will get 30% darker within the first 2 days. You may experience some dryness on the eyebrows, which, for some people can be flakey for a few days.

It is important to follow after care instructions given to you on the day of the treatment.

The healing time will last up to 14 days but this will depend on your skin type. If you have dry skin your eyebrows should heal within 1 week, and if your skin is oily healing is likely to take around 10-14 days.

You will need to avoid swimming and sweating until the healing process is completed.

Can I do microblading before going on holiday?

Following the micro blading treatment, it is advised not to be exposed on the sun at least 1-2 months after. However, if you do go away it is essential to apply SPF and wear hat to protect the eyebrows.

Following the aftercare instructions is important, as failure to do this will result in premature fading of the treatment.
